a Junior League

Book Grant today!

Overview

The Junior League of Spokane is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.

The Junior League of Spokane’s current focus area is improving childhood literacy. We have held four pirate-themed book fairs with our community partners, given away books to children of all ages, installed five reading corners, and partnered with the Spokane Police Department to provide books for their Police Activities League Program. The Junior League of Spokane is excited to be able to further our support to the Spokane community through this book grant program.

Book Grant applications should identify what, if any, underserved or underrepresented populations would be supported and or any other challenges that would be addressed by receiving a book grant. Requests should align with the Junior League of Spokane’s current focus area of improving childhood literacy in the Spokane area. Please review the entire application for details.
